Matt Fine is the president of Fine Construction, Inc. He grew up in the Sacramento Valley and graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Environmental Resource Science. During college, he spent his summers working for a contractor in Tahoe. After college, he worked as an environmental consult in the Sacramento area but realized that being cooped up in a cubicle was not for him. Matt traded in his desk job for a tool belt and spent several years developing his skills and learning from some of the top builders in Sacramento and Boulder, CO.
Matt started his own company shortly after moving to Truckee in 2006. He prides himself on staying abreast of the latest advances in building science and providing honest, reliable service. He is committed to hiring dependable local people and paying a fair, living wage. In addition to work, Matt enjoys running, skiing, kayaking, biking, and baking. He lives near Tahoe City with his wife and daughter.
